Cleveland Indians National Anthem

As I look back on another beautiful season of Cleveland baseball, I can’t help but think about the amazing night I had in September singing the National Anthem.  I don’t know, maybe it gets more fun each year.  Maybe it gets easier? But this year was so very special.

Was I nervous to sing? Yes! I'm human. It’s a difficult song, and there’s a mic-to-speaker delay in Progressive Field. I’m singing to honor my country and those who fight for it, and also for my favorite players.  And my WWII vet Grandpa in Heaven!  But when I give thanks to the Lord for the opportunity, and for the strength to get out there and do it, I feel peace.  When I remember Psalms 55:22, “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken,” I feel peace.  When I remember that singing and supporting my country are my middle name, I feel peace.  When I remember that I am prepared and did the work, I feel peace.

There’s nothing like doing something you are passionate about on a beautiful day in Cleveland looking at a huge flag waving in the wind. What a rush!  It feels like it’s just me and the flag out there.  But when I turn around I’ve got my amazing support team.. my man, my family, my friends and fans.. I could not be more grateful for them.

I started singing the National Anthem at BGSU basketball and hockey games after I won the very first BG Idol.  It was such an honor.  I never dreamed of one day singing for the Cleveland Indians.  I'm already living my dream.

I have to say there are a few products I could not have lived without, going from a full day of work over to the Indians game to sing/be on a HUGE scoreboard. LOL

- Urban Decay's All Nighter Make-Up Setting Spray (this stuff kept me from needing to do my make up all over again after work. it's amazing!)
- Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick - (I mixed two colors for the perfect "stage" shade. It lasts through kisses, singing, and drinking water!)
- Express black jeans. Comfy and classic.

Thank you so much for reading. Tell me your favorite part about this season in the comments below:
